UA General President Mark McManus recently announced that the United Association surpassed 400,000 members across the United States and Canada in a sign of our growing strength. This milestone would not have been possible without the efforts of our UA organizers and local unions across North America. Every new member we bring in helps strengthen our voice and our ability to fight for more work and fair wages and benefits — whether it be in our nation's capital or with elected officials at the local and state level.
As General President McManus highlighted, this achievement is worth celebrating, but we cannot stop there. Ongoing engagement with elected officials who support the UA and our members will continue to play an important role in creating opportunities for future generations of skilled UA members while helping protect and expand opportunities for current members.
