Proposed Davis-Bacon Rulemaking Important Step Towards Reforming Act, Ensuring All Workers Earn Fair Wages on the Job

Following the announcement today of the new Davis-Bacon regulations from the U.S. Department of Labor, United Association of Union Plumbers and Pipefitters (UA) General President Mark McManus praised the proposed rulemaking as a strong step towards fulfilling President Biden’s commitment to reforming Davis-Bacon provisions to better ensure all workers can earn fair wages on the job:

“Davis-Bacon provisions are an essential protection for working families across the United States as they guarantee fair wages on the job,” said Mark McManus, General President of the United Association. “These regulations are an important tool for United Association members and workers everywhere, and we are glad to see the Department of Labor taking action today to fulfill President Biden’s promise to working families.
