Senator Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) introduced the Accelerating Reliable Capacity (ARC) Act last week with Senator Jim Risch (R-ID) to accelerate investment in and encourage completion of new commercial nuclear reactors by minimizing the risk of cost overruns. The UA worked closely with Senator Gallego to ensure this legislation will create good-paying UA jobs building the future of American nuclear energy. As the demand for reliable, affordable, and clean power continues to grow, an all-of-the-above energy approach that includes the expansion and modernization of our nuclear fleet is essential. We will continue to engage with our allies on both sides of the aisle as this bill works its way through Congress and hopefully to final passage.
