  • Constellation Energy and Google Announce New Nuclear Capacity

    Oct 14, 2026

Last week, Google and Constellation Energy announced a long-term strategic clean energy collaboration and purchase agreement to bring 890 megawatts of new, reliable nuclear energy online. This 20-year agreement will enable investments in new equipment and technology at 11 nuclear units in Illinois, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey – creating good-paying UA jobs in the process. In addition, the two companies entered into a 15-year energy supply agreement for an additional 2,700 MWs.

UA members are proud to build and maintain the future of America’s nuclear energy fleet. This landmark agreement is another critical step forward for an all-of-the-above energy approach that will bring energy costs down for working families and create good-paying UA jobs. These types of partnerships are only possible with a skilled and qualified workforce, combined with strong energy policies from elected officials and UA allies.
