The UA Department of Legislative and Political Affairs is led by Director Russ Breckenridge, a member of UA Local 5 Washington, D.C. From the halls of Congress to canvass launches in battleground states, our Department fights for UA members nationwide.
The United Association’s Department of Legislative and Political Affairs
is headquartered in Washington, D.C., and leads the political, legislative, and government affairs work of the UA. Representing more than 403,000 UA members, the Department works to advance pro-worker and pro-UA legislation at the Federal, State, and municipal levels.
We also work closely with our local unions to develop helpful resources for our members to engage directly with elected officials – from lobbying toolkits to legislative issue fact sheets, we are always available to assist UA members with legislative and political action.
