Congress is close to finally passing permitting reform,

But they need to hear from us: the men and women this legislation impacts.

The Bipartisan American Affordability and Jobs Act of 2026 (S. 5653) would increase project certainty, streamline federal review timelines, and create thousands of good-paying jobs delivering reliable and affordable energy.

For years, our opponents have used our nation’s outdated permitting system to create chaos and confusion, leading to unnecessary project delays and lawsuits that leave projects in limbo for years.

The leaders of the Senate Committees on Energy and Natural Resources and Environment and Public Works joined together to fix this archaic system. Now, the full Senate and House must take action urgently to pass this bill before the end of this Congress at the end of the year.
