Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro visited UA Steamfitters Local 420 in Philadelphia on Friday to meet with UA apprentices and see our gold-standard training and apprenticeship programs in action. Governor Shapiro was instrumental in providing an $8m grant to Local 420 for major renovations to their training center, which he celebrated in his remarks on Friday. These investments for future generations of apprentices and skilled UA members are a direct result of pro-UA candidates winning elections – and why it is so important elected officials see our training programs firsthand.
